Asterix (*): Indicates that the reading on this day exceeded the stated threshold.
Note: The results for March 2020 show that on 5 days the level of particle pollution exceeded the acceptable levels established by the Government of Canada. It has been confirmed that this was not as a result of construction activities for the Samuel De Champlain Bridge Corridor Project. Several exceedances of PMtot measured at the Île-des-Soeurs station are due to the close proximity of the air quality monitoring station to the access road of Highway 10 from the roundabout of the Pointe-Nord road, where particles accumulated during the winter are put in suspension by vehicles as they pass by. An unpaved parking lot located in close proximity to the air quality monitoring station also contributed to particle pollution. Please note that the construction work on the Samuel De Champlain Bridge Corridor was suspended as of March 25, 2020 until further notice due to restrictions set in place because of the COVID-19 event.
