Description
Recruiting qualified talent for employment within Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada (HICC) including members of boards, committees and councils is essential for ensuring the efficient operations of the Department. To improve this recruitment process, HICC will be using, LinkedIn Recruiter, which provides access to a database of 17 million Canadians. This tool will support recruitment activities by assisting HICC in locating individuals with the talent, expertise and skillset required to staff hard-to-fill or specialized roles and in addressing employment equity gaps.
Why a privacy impact assessment was completed
A privacy impact assessment was conducted to develop an informed assessment of the privacy risks associated with the personal information collected and used from LinkedIn Recruiter and to inform recommendations to mitigate any identified privacy risks to an acceptable level.

The following risks have been identified and mitigated: indirect and direct collection of personal information, notification and consent and accuracy of personal information.
