Funding by Major Category

The pie chart shows the percentage of funding by major category under the Infrastructure Stimulus Fund (3,973 projects) and the Building Canada Fund-Communities Component Top-Up (526 projects), and the number of projects under each category as follows:

  • Transportation - 1,886 projects (42 percent)
  • Green Infrastructure (including Wastewater) - 1,072 projects (24 percent)
  • Public Transit - 77 projects (2 percent)
  • Sports and Recreation - 561 projects (12 percent)
  • Drinking Water - 526 projects (12 percent)
  • Culture and Tourism - 178 projects (4 percent)
  • Other - 199 projects (4 percent)
