Climate Lens Greenhouse Gas Guidance Modules
Climate Lens Greenhouse Gas Guidance Modules
The Climate Lens Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Guidance Modules provide a simplified, sector-specific approach to GHG quantification for various projects across Canada. The Modules are intended to be learning tools for project developers to help introduce GHG quantification and respective mitigation measures into their project designs. The Modules are also designed to provide consistency and comparability of GHG estimates between projects. Each GHG Guidance Module is based on international standardsFootnote1 and sets out a pre-determined set of technical elements (i.e., baselines, activities and variables) and other considerations, required to quantify GHG impacts from a specific project type or sector.
The GHG Guidance Modules are considered evergreen and may be periodically updated to remain aligned with advancing assessment methodologies. Please ensure you consult the Infrastructure Canada website to ensure you have the most recent version of this guidance before undertaking a GHG Assessment.
