Canada Community-Building Fund (CCBF) Long-term funding provided to provinces and territories, to fund local municipal infrastructure priorities. Canada Public Transit Fund (CPTF) Stable and predictable funding to address long-term transit goals through 3 funding components: Metro-Region Agreements, Baseline Funding, and Targeted Funding. Funding will cover areas such as: active transportation, rural and remote transit, transit solutions in Indigenous communities, as well as electrifying public transit and school transportation. Zero Emission Transit Fund (ZETF) Funding to support public transit and school bus operators across Canada who are electrifying their fleets and building the necessary infrastructure to support them. Rural Transit Solutions Fund (RTSF) Funding the development of locally-driven transit solutions that will help people living in rural communities get to work, school, appointments, and to visit loved ones. Active Transportation Fund (ATF) Investments in projects that build new and expanded networks of pathways, bike lanes, trails and pedestrian bridges in support of active transportation. Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) Funding to build modern, resilient, and green communities across Canada through bilateral agreements between Housing, Infrastructure and Communities and each of the provinces and territories. Green and Inclusive Communities Buildings program (GICB) Funding for green and accessible retrofits, repairs or upgrades of existing public community buildings and the construction of new publicly-accessible community buildings that serve high-needs, underserved communities across Canada. Reaching Home (RH) Providing direct support and funding to communities to help them address their local homelessness needs. Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) A federal Crown corporation that invests in revenue-generating infrastructure projects that benefits Canadians, and support economic growth. The Bank invests in five priority sectors: Clean Power, Green Infrastructure, Public Transit, Broadband, and Trade and Transportation. Seed Funding Funding to help housing providers with the costs of early development activities related to the predevelopment costs of building a new affordable housing project or renovating an existing affordable housing project. Preservation Funding Funding to help housing providers complete activities that will allow them to transition to a more viable and sustainable model, as well as prepare them for future funding opportunities. Affordable Housing Fund (AHF) Funding for new affordable housing and the renovation and repair of existing affordable and community housing, with featured options for Indigenous and northern communities and black-led organizations. Co-op Housing Development Program (CHDP) Funding to support the construction of new co-op housing projects. Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF) Incentive funding for local governments to remove barriers and support the development of affordable, inclusive, equitable and climate-resilient communities. Federal Community Housing Initiative Funding to support federally administered community housing projects reaching the end of their federally administered operating agreements from past social and affordable housing programs. Community Housing Transformation Centre Providing access to tools, financial resources and best practices to support the growth, transformation and resilience of community housing. NHS Research and Planning Fund Funding to help promote interest, involvement and capacity building in housing research in Canada. Federal funding delivered by provinces and territories Federal, provincial and territorial governments are primary partners in housing and have a shared responsibility and complementary roles for housing. Provinces and territories deliver and cost-match federal funds from the National Housing Strategy through bilateral agreements with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. For more information, please visit National Housing Strategy: Federal/Provincial/Territorial housing agreements. Canada Community Housing Initiative: Funding to protect, regenerate and expand social and community housing, including social housing under legacy programs for urban Indigenous households in need. Administered by provinces and territories, and supported by former federal programs. Provincial/Territorial Priority Funding: Addresses distinct provincial and territorial housing needs and priorities, such as increasing the affordable housing supply, maintaining existing stock, and providing financial support to vulnerable Canadians. Canada Housing Benefit: Affordability support provided directly to households in housing need, through programs co-developed and cost-matched by each province or territory to reflect their unique context and circumstances. Northern Funding: Investments to help address the unique needs and challenges faced in the North with additional funding for each of the three territories to enhance the other initiatives.
