Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated
The Office of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada is responsible for the oversight of Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI), a Crown Corporation with the mandate to operate and maintain several federal structures in the region of Montréal and Québec. These structures are important to both local and regional users, as well as to national and international supply chains.
Operating at arm's-length from the government, JCCBI is responsible for the management of its own business activities and corporate affairs. However, JCCBI is required to report to Parliament on its operations, finances, and other important issues, and does so through the Minister of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada.
JCCBI is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the following structures:
- Jacques Cartier Bridge
- Québec Bridge
- Honoré-Mercier Bridge (federal section)
- Melocheville Tunnel
- Bonaventure Expressway (federal section)
- Estacade
For more information on JCCBI's network of structures, activities, news, and reports, please visit the JCCBI homepage.
