2014 New Building Canada Fund: Provincial-Territorial Infrastructure Component, Small Communities Fund
Program Overview
Purpose

To ensure that small communities receive funding opportunities, approximately ten per cent (10%) of the 2014 New Building Canada Fund - Provincial-Territorial Infrastructure Component - (PTIC) envelope in each jurisdiction will be set aside for the Small Communities Fund (PTIC–SCF). This $1 billion available under PTIC-SCF will provide contribution funding for locally significant projects in small communities with populations of 100,000 or less.

PTIC–SCF has been designed to leverage the resources and existing processes of the provinces and territories in managing local projects, while ensuring federal accountability and oversight of the funding envelope.
