Public statements of Strategic Environmental and Economic Assessments
The Cabinet Directive on Strategic Environmental and Economic Assessment (SEEA) provides information on the expected environmental and economic effects of proposals referred to Cabinet for decision, as well as funding requests. This analysis is intended to help decision-makers incorporate environmental, economic and other cross-cutting considerations early in the policy, planning and program development process.
The SEEA directs departments and agencies to issue public statements for proposals that have conducted a detailed analysis (environmental and/or economic), following each proposal’s implementation or announcement.
