In summer 2021, the vibrant and growing town of Saint-Constant, Quebec, saw a huge new development: the eagerly awaited inauguration of the Saint-Constant municipal and aquatic centres. More than facilities, these hubs are a success story for the community, transforming residents’ daily lives and breathing new life into gathering and recreational spaces.

Did you know?

The two buildings were designed for maximum energy efficiency.

Picture a place where everyone can feel at home. With its 2,550 m2 of multi-purpose spaces, the municipal centre is now an important hub where people of all ages can come together to share, learn and have fun. The centre’s multi-purpose rooms can be transformed to host family events, classes, workshops and even 600-person banquets. Local groups can use the industrial kitchen to prepare food together and learn basic cooking skills. The centre is also equipped with electric charging stations, a testament to the town’s investment in our planet’s future.

Why is this important for Canadians? Because the centre is more than just a building:it’s a place to foster connections and build a strong community in which youth and seniors have a space in which to thrive. Local associations now have offices where they can work toward their goals, and families can make lifelong memories in a welcoming environment.

The aquatic centre is a dream come true for residents who’ve longed for a state-of-the-art pool. It provides an outstanding aquatic experience, with a 25-metre, 10-lane competition pool for dedicated athletes and water polo enthusiasts, as well as a recreational pool with a water play area and winding river, equipped with inclusive access ramps so that everyone can enjoy.

This complex invites young and old alike to stay active, because health and physical activity are essential for everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned swimmer or a parent looking to introduce your child to the joys of swimming, the aquatic centre has it all. Furthermore, it’s equipped with cutting-edge technology to save water and energy, a step toward a greener future.

These facilities improve everyone’s quality of life: Children have a safe space to learn to swim, seniors can take part in social activities, athletes can train seriously, and families can share special moments. The municipal centre and aquatic centre are proof that, together, we can build a more promising, vibrant and sustainable future.
