The Canada Housing Infrastructure Fund (CHIF) PT agreement stream will invest $250 million over 5 years, starting in 2025-2026 to fund the Iona Island Wastewater Treatment Plant in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia. CHIF provides funding intended to enable increased housing supply through improved capacity of drinking water, wastewater, stormwater and solid waste infrastructure. The program will enable sustainable community growth by increasing the capacity, reliability, and efficiency of new, and/or existing systems in alignment with environmental and climate priorities.
