To ensure affordability for everyone, we need a drastic increase in the supply of all types of housing, from market housing to social and affordable housing, to meet the demand of a growing Canada.

At the heart of this plan lies a commitment to make housing affordable with a focus on three areas:

Plan 2 - Icon

1: Building more homes

Bringing down construction costs, getting cities to allow more homes to be built, transforming how we build them, and growing the workforce to get the job done.

Plan 2 - Icon

2: Making it easier to rent or own a home

Making it easier to rent or own a home and ensuring every renter or homeowner can retain their home.

Plan 3 - Icon

3: Helping Canadians who can't afford a home

Working to end chronic homelessness in Canada, and building more affordable housing for students and seniors.

Addressing Canada’s housing crisis requires actions from all orders of government, home builders, not-for-profit sectors, and communities to build the homes Canadians need now and into the future.
