Engaging on Build Canada Homes
Canada is facing a housing crisis, and the Government of Canada is committed to using every tool at its disposal to take strong action. Key to the government's response to the housing challenges faced across the country will be Build Canada Homes, a new federal organization that will build affordable homes, support builders with financing, and encourage better building methods.
Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada, along with its portfolio partners, are working collaboratively to tackle the housing crisis. This includes policy levers that can bolster housing supply, working with market, non-profit and community housing providers to build new affordable housing, and partnering with provinces, territories, Indigenous and local governments to address many other housing challenges.
