Privacy Impact Assessment on the Automation of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada Organizational Charts
Title
Privacy Impact Assessment on the Automation of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada Organizational Charts
Description
Organizational charts visually represent an organization’s structure, outlining reporting relationships and departmental roles. Within Human Resources, they are essential tools for workforce planning and informed decision-making.
Historically, Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada (HICC) created organizational charts manually. To enhance efficiency, HICC is now implementing OrgChart, an automation software that integrates with the Government of Canada’s standardized human resource management system, MyGCHR. This integration will enable HICC to generate real-time, dynamic organizational charts.
Why a privacy impact assessment was completed
A privacy impact assessment was conducted to develop an informed assessment of the privacy risks associated with the personal information collected and used for the automation of organizational charts and to inform recommendations to mitigate any identified privacy risks to an acceptable level.
Additional information
No risks have been identified that require mitigation measures to be implemented at this time.
